New Delhi-based Jaiprakash Associates would become the country’s third largest cement maker by the end of the month with the commissioning of the two million tonne unit in Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh).
"We have commissioned a 1.5 million tonne greenfield unit at Panipat, and our capacity now stands at 8.5 million tonne. With the Chunar unit, we will have 10.5 million tonne capacity, and become the third largest cement producing company," said Rahul Kumar, chief operating officer, Jaiprakash Associates.
