Maharashtra State Distribution Co Ltd (Mahavitaran) will ring in a plethora of opportunities for the private sector. It has lined up an investment plan of over Rs9,000 crore during the next 3 years, all to be executed on a competitive bidding basis by private players.
This Rs9,000 crore is over the Rs2,611 crore project, the state-run company is implementing for its agri-feeder separation programme due to completed by December 2008.
The private companies working on these projects include Kalpataru, Asian Electronics, Subhash Projects, Nagarjuna and IVRCL.
